HAPPY NEW YEAR!

In weniger als zwölf Stunden fängt das neue Jahr an. Und so nutze ich die letzten Stunden, um ~~meine Wohnung aufzuräumen~~ zu überlegen, was ich 2012 alles machen, alles erreichen möchte. Meine To Do-Liste ist so gut wie abgearbeitet, nur meine Ziele für 2012 stehen noch drauf. Die letzte Woche habe ich an einem super geheimen Projekt gearbeitet, daher hatte ich noch keine Zeit für 2012.

Ich will auf jeden Fall der Vollselbständigkeit einen gewaltigen Schritt näher kommen. Das ist das größte Ziel für das nächste Jahr. Und was sonst noch so kommt? Nun, ich hab ja noch ein paar Stunden…

In diesem Sinne: Guten Rutsch, frohes neues Jahr und wir sehen uns im neuen Jahr, wenn auch nicht mehr an dieser Stelle, so viel sei verraten

Just a mere twelve hours we have left of this year. So I use the last hours ~~to clean my flat~~ to think about what I want to do and reach in 2012. My to do list is almost empty, just the goals for 2012 are left on it. Last week I worked on a super secret project, so I didn’t have any time for 2012.

My biggest goal is to head further in the direction of full time self employment. That’s where I want to go eventually. And what else? Well, I have some hours left…

Therefore: Have a great party tonight, happy new year and I hope to see you all next year, not at this place though…

Gerade ist Weihnachten vorbei und Silvester noch nicht ganz da. Die perfekte Zeit um zu reflektieren, was im letzten Jahr gelaufen ist, und zu überlegen, was man 2012 besser machen will und welche Ziele man überhaupt hat. Heute hatte ich das letzte Shooting 2011, mein fotografisches Jahr ist beendet. Es war aufregend und ich habe viel fotografiert. Vieles habe ich noch gar nicht veröffentlicht, vieles darf ich nicht veröffentlichen, aber hier kommen die veröffentlichten Shootings von 2011, die eigentlich schon Ende 2010 beginnen…

Christmas is over, the new year not here yet. The perfect time to think about the past year and think about what you want to improve in the new year and to set your new goals. Today I photographed the last shooting for 2011, my photographic year is over. It was exciting and I took many many pictures. Merry Christmas!

Heute ist Heiligabend!! Ich liebe Weihnachten und kann es nicht erwarten heute abend meinen Lieben ihre Geschenke zu überreichen! Das ist das Beste für mich, ihnen eine Freude zu machen.

Euch allen alles, alles Liebe zu Weihnachten und ich hoffe, dass ihr eine schöne und ruhige Zeit verlebt (oder auch laut wenn ihr das lieber mögt ) Fröhliche Weihnachten!

Today is Christmas Eve (the first day of three Christmas’ days in Germany)! I love Christmas and I can’t wait to give my beloved ones their presents tonight. What I love most about it, is to see the joy in their faces.

Early Christmas

Seit fast vier Jahren hat mich meine Minolta 7d begleitet. Alle Bilder auf meiner Website und meinem Blog sind mit dieser Kamera fotografiert worden, mit Ausnahme der Bilder die ich auf der Minikina 2009 in Mainz mit der Leica S2 machen durfte. Es war die erste digitale Spiegelreflexkamera die ich gekauft habe. Ich kenne sie in und auswendig. Und daher weiß ich auch leider, dass sie nun in die Rente geschickt werden muss. Ich hatte so viel Spaß mit der Kamera und habe jedes Shooting genossen, aber immer öfter hat sie leider versagt.

Daher war letzte Woche bereits Weihnachten für mich. Bei Calumet in Düsseldorf habe ich meine neue Kamera und neue Objektive gekauft. Da Minolta seine Kamerasparte an Sony verkauft hat und ich finde, dass Sony noch nicht da weitermacht, wo Minolta mit der Qaulittä aufgehört hat, habe ich mich für die Canon 5d entschieden. Ich bin mir sicher, ich werde die Kamera ebenso lieben, wie meine alte, aber momentan behandle ich sie noch wie rohe Eier Aber ich weiß schon jetzt, dass sie all die kleinen Schwächen, die meine alte Kamera hatte, mehr als ausgleicht. Und daher bin ich sehr froh über meinen Kauf.

Bei meinem Shooting nächste Woche kommt sie zum ersten Mal richtig zum Einsatz.

Almost four years my Minolta 7d was my constant companion. Every picture on my website and my blog was taken with this camera, except the pictures I took with the Leica S2 at the Minikina in Mainz 2009. It was my first DSLR, my first love. I know her in and out. And that’s why I know that I need to retire her. I had so much fun with this camera and was happy to shoot that much, but in the end more and mor often she failed on me.

So last week was my early Christmas. At Calumet in Dusseldorf I bought a new camera and lenses. As Minolta sold their camera line to Sony and Sony just isn’t there yet, in my opinion, I decided to buy the Canon 5d. I am sure I’ll love this camera as much as I love my old one, but at the moment I treat her like raw eggs But I already know that she is strong were my old camera was weak. So I am happy for my purchase.

I’ll put her to practice on my shooting next week
